Thinking about updating your Craftsman Home?
Here are a few helpful tips...
Old wood is full of charm and
character -- in most cases it just needs a little
refurbishing. We suggest refinishing your floors with no
stain and a matt finish to bring out its natural charm.
Wood moldings, paneling,
doors and windows can be brought back to life by rubbing the
wood with steel wool and a little paint thinner. Then
lightly brush on varnish with added stain to match the wood.
Claw foot tubs can be made
fun by painting the outside with paint that will go on
metal. Try something to match your color theme, for example
a gold leaf paint looks great.
Don't toss out old stained
glass. Stained glass can be replaced and repaired by
using a rolled glass to match the original. The lead is
also easily repaired.
